Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, the star couple of Bollywood, are soon to become parents. Deepika is probably in her second trimester of the couple’s first pregnancy. India Today stated that she is expected to give birth in September of this year.

The couple shared the news of their pregnancy on Instagram, with the caption “September 2024” and drawings of balloons and baby clothes surrounding it.

Congratulating the couple on their wonderful news were colleagues in the industry Vikrant Massey, Shreya Ghoshal, Kriti Sanon, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Varun Dhawan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar, Aahana Kumra, and Angad Bedi.

After it was reported that Padukone covered up her belly on the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) red carpet in a dazzling saree, there was a spike in pregnancy rumors.

The couple previously made headlines for their open discussion with producer and director Karan Johar on the programme Koffee with Karan 8. In this episode, Deepika Padukone talked about her relationship with Ranveer Singh.

According to the couple, even though they were free to see other people when they first started dating, Padukone “would always go back to him.”

Deepika revealed her excitement for motherhood in a January 2024 remark to Vogue Singapore, adding, “Ranveer and I love children.” We eagerly anticipate the day when we may begin a family of our own. She also discussed her childhood, stressing the value of maintaining your groundedness in the face of wealth and fame.

It’s simple to get carried away by money and celebrity in this field. At home, though, I’m treated like a nobody. Above all, I am a sister and a daughter. I hope that doesn’t alter. My family helps me stay grounded, and Ranveer and I want to teach our kids the same morals.”

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Vikrant Massey, Shreya Ghoshal, and Alia Bhatt, among other industry colleagues, congratulated the couple on their wonderful news. “Mubarak,” Priyanka said on Deepika-Ranveer’s post in the comments section.

Alia posted several heart-shaped emoticons in the comments section. Shreya Ghoshal expressed her happiness and excitement for the couple. “Many congratulations,” she said in return.
